Rae Aranas, MD

Dr. Aranas earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Engineering and worked as a structural design engineer prior to attending medical school. He is able to apply this unique engineering background to formulate the most innovative treatments for his patients. After attending medical school, Dr. Aranas finished his Anesthesiology residency at the highly competitive Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Aranas also completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Dr. Aranas previously practiced in Baltimore as a pain management physician and Medical Director of an ambulatory surgery center. Dr. Aranas is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Aranas joined Atlantic Spinal Care to continue his commitment to providing the highest quality and most advanced pain management care to his patients. His focus is to utilize the latest minimally invasive techniques to identify the source of pain and treat the problem. His goal is to decrease pain and increase functioning. Dr. Aranas firmly believes in listening to his patients and taking the time to ensure that they fully understand their condition and treatment options. Dr. Aranas treats each of his patients with sincere compassion and has an unparalleled bed-side manner.
